Did you know that sharing a meal is one of the most universal expressions of love? From laughing at inside jokes to simply catching up with one another, a family meal can facilitate just that! Eat With Your Family Day is important to me because it is the day everyone finds and makes time out of their hectic schedules just to have a meal together. Knowing that intent, I find great solace in the purpose of a family meal and is entranced by how it can be the catalyst for strengthening our family ties.
With that being said, my family's go-to restaurant will always be Fins! Since I was five, my parents had always brought me to Fins for any occasion - birthdays, graduations, celebratory parties and so much more! Being able to have my family meals eating the dishes that I grew up with, that hold so much precious memories to me, will definitely make our family meals unforgettable. In addition, Fins also serve one of the most scrumptious fried battered fish I have ever tasted in my life. The irresistible aroma of fried fish and softshell crabs absolutely never fails to make my mouth water and fantalise my tastebuds! Not to mention, my family has always been huge fans of seafood coalesce cooked in western style. Thus, Fins was a clear-cut choice appealing to my family and me!
Usually when we have family meals at home, we would incorporate some form of entertainment like watching a movie, questionaire night and sometimes even boardgames night. However, for Eat With Your Family Day, we have decided to spice things up a little! On Eat With Your Family Day, we will be humored with the game Uno: Stress, with a twist. The loser will have to serve the penalty of eating the entire bowl of green salad while the winner gets to have the loser's portion of fried fish! Nothing beats a little thrill to enliven the moods during a family meal. I strongly believe that it is through simple, small moments like these where we all laugh a little louder, smile a little wider and love a little more, that makes any moment a special and memorable one.

Family time are one of the most irreplaceable moments of a person's life but yet is also one of the most under-appreciated times. Most of us are lucky to be able to see our loved ones everyday and in most cases, we take these moments for granted and never spared a second thought about how much time we still have left with them or how many more opportunities we have left to be able to do things like these again. This is why family meals should be a daily occurrence in every household not only because food is a form of love itself, but also because food can be the one other thing that gels a family together.
